Bundle Builder — Court Bundle Software for Mac

Bundle Builder Logo

BundleBuilder is a Mac app for lawyers and legal secretaries that assembles court bundles, trial bundles and hearing bundles from PDF documents in minutes. Collaborate with others on the assembly of the bundle. Drag in your documents, organise them into sections and export a single, indexed, PDF — ready to file or share. Free to use up to 100 pages, then just £10 per month.

How it works

Assembling a bundle by hand — opening documents one by one, combining PDFs, maintaining an index — can take hours. BundleBuilder reduces that to minutes:

  1. Collaborate with others to create a new bundle and add sections (Pleadings, Correspondence, Exhibits, and so on)
  2. Drag your PDF documents from Finder, DEVONthink or any file source into the appropriate section
  3. BundleBuilder generates a paginated index automatically, with document names, section headings and page ranges
  4. Export the finished bundle as a single PDF, ready for the tribunal, court or opposing parties

What BundleBuilder produces

  • A single combined PDF with all documents in the correct order
  • A paginated index listing every document, its section, and its page range
  • Section headings within the bundle
  • Consistent numbering throughout
  • Your notes and annotations only on your copy of the bundle – its all you need on your feet in court

Who uses it

BundleBuilder is used by all kinds of practitioners, clerks and legal secretaries. It is well suited to all kinds of bundles, and any hearing that requires a paginated bundle of documents. It is great to collate your exhibits for disclosure. It runs on macOS.

Frequently asked questions

What is a court bundle?

A court bundle (also called a trial bundle or hearing bundle) is a paginated, indexed collection of documents that all parties and the judge refer to during a hearing. Bundles must be organised, numbered and indexed so that everyone can find documents quickly by page number.

Does BundleBuilder work with Employment Tribunal bundles?

Yes. BundleBuilder is well suited to Employment Tribunal bundles, which typically require documents to be organised into sections (Pleadings, Policy Documents, Contemporaneous Documents, and so on) with a continuous page count throughout.

Can I import documents from DEVONthink?

Yes — documents can be dragged directly from DEVONthink into BundleBuilder sections.

Does BundleBuilder add page numbers to the PDFs?

BundleBuilder numbers the documents within the bundle index and maintains page ranges. If you need page numbers stamped on the face of each page, that is a separate step — our companion app pdf Paginate Pro does exactly that.

Is there a free version?

BundleBuilder is free for bundles up to 100 pages — enough for a short hearing. Bundles beyond 100 pages require a subscription from £10 per month.

What Mac do I need?

BundleBuilder requires macOS [version]. It is a native Mac app — there is no Windows or browser version.
